~James Devaux rounded out a productive week at Monticello Raceway, for the 2nd time in a week he drove 5 winners on the card, the tally for the week was 13 trips to the winners circle.

The combination of Jim Devaux and Dolores Basilone has been working very well as of late and today was no exception as both enjoyed a very good afternoon at Monticello Raceway, James DeVaux drove 5 winners on Tuesday’s card and Trainer Dolores Basilone won 4 races.  DeVaux capped off both ends of the early double, Sweet Kix from the rail was his first trip to the winners circle, followed by Muscle Beachboy (Dolores Basilone) in the 2nd half of the early double.

Due to heavy snow from winter storm Niko, Monticello Raceway has cancelled live racing and all simulcasting on Thursday, February 9. 

The North American Amateur Drivers Association, which is on the verge of announcing dates for its Spring Trotting Series, has received a formal invitation for a rematch with the very competent French amateur drivers.

 The invitation was extended to Joe Faraldo, president of the North American Amateur Drivers Association, during his recent visit to Paris for the Prix d' Amerique. The rematch is scheduled to center around races at famed Vincennes racetrack outside of the City of Lights as well as a racetrack in Normandy.

The Board of the Monticello Harness Horseman Association have developed an innovative idea to promote their organization and gain more members by offering a bonus program for their members.
