Recently Jimmy Devaux passed a career milestone and he was feted at Monticello Raceway on Thursday, November 15 and presented with a blanket which stated  Monticello Raceway  congratulates him for reaching, and passing, the 3000 career win plateau.

Devaux  won his 3000th race at Saratoga Raceway but the vast majority of his career  driving victories came at Monticello Raceway, where during the 2002 season his 287 wins earned him leading driver honors. But throughout the first decade of the 21st Century Devaux was constantly among the leaders in races won. In fact his 1129 wins during the first five years of the past decade was tops  here and he finished fourth in races won(1731) at the Mighty M from 2000 through 2009.

Now one of the leading drivers at Saratoga Raceway Devaux still competes at the Mighty M  when Saratoga is dark.

“Actually Devaux had a chance to record his 3000th win here but it just  didn’t happen,” noted Eric Warner the track s director of racing. “Although Jimmy reached the 3000-win plateau at Saratoga still his accomplishments here over the years warranted our paying tribute to his milestone victory.”
